Records of the National Association of State Universities and Land-Grant Colleges (NASULGC) and its predecessors, the National Association of State Universities (NASU) and the Association of Land-Grant Colleges (ALGC), including addresses, correspondence, proceedings, publications, releases, statements, and statistics relating to administration, development and funding of programs, lobbying activities and studies. Subject areas include federal agencies, foundations, and legislation, private foundations, R.O.T.C. and Voice of America. The file also contains materials relating to campus disturbances and race relations; NASULGC Executive Committee Minutes, 1969-86, and reports submitted to the Executive Committee, 1981-85; Board for International Food and Agricultural Development (BIFAD) Agenda and Minutes, 1976-82; and National Association of State Universities, 1946-63.
The Department of Administration and Supervision was created in 1962 in a reorganization plan in the College of Education.1 In 1973 the name was changed when the Department merged with former programs in Higher Education and Continuing Education. The Department now consists of three Divisions: the Division of Educational Administration and Supervision, the Division of Higher Education and the Division of Continuing Education of Adults.2 The Department prepares students for professional positions in educational organizations, and conducts national and regional research programs.3
The Office for the Study of Continuing Professional Education was established in 1973,4 and serves as a center for the study of issues in continuing professional education in diverse career fields.5
