Papers of Stephen A. Forbes (1844-1930), director of the Laboratory of Natural History (1877-1917), Chief of the Natural History Survey (1917-30), State Entomologist (1882-1917), and professor of zoology (1884-1909) and entomology (1909-21), including separates and reprints of published articles and addresses relating to economic entomology (1904-17); the food of fishes, birds and insects (1877-88); public school science work (1889, 1904, 1929); limnology (1887) and ecology (1908, 1912, 1929); water pollution (1918-19, 1926) and his military career (1911). The series includes diplomas and membership certificates, 1898-1923 (OS-34), State Normal University diploma of Mrs. Forbes, 1872, and reprint requests (1897-98, 1907-09).
