Name: Boschek, Charles B. (1898-1975)
Historical Note: Charles B. Boschek (1898-1975) was a clarinettist and member of the Sousa Band. During WWI, he joined the Navy. In 1925 Boschek joined the 10-208 Musicians Union of Chicago, Illinois and the 203 Musicians Union of Hammond, Indiana. In that same year, he toured with the John Philip Sousa Band on Clarinet. After leaving the band midway through the 1925-1926 tour, Boschek performed at the Arcadia Lodge 1138 A&FM of Lansing, Illinois. He also was a member of the parthenon and Paramount Theatre Orchestras. Following this he taught privately in the Chicago metropolitan area. Boschek died in Calumet City, Illinois on February 1, 1975.
