Students Boarding an Accessible Bus | University of Illinois Archives
Caption on back reads, "University of Illinois students board $35,000 air-conditioned bus given for the University's Division of Rehabilitation-Education Services by Greyhound Lines, and remodeled and equipped with wheelchair lift in a $10,000 gift from Blitz Auto Body Corp. of Chicago. This vehicle is for longer trips. Its first use was to take students to participate in the National Wheelchair games in New York. Four city-type buses similarly equipped with wheelchair lifts operate on regular schedules about the University campus at Urbana to take students between residence halls or other housing units, classrooms and laboratories, and the Rehabilitation-Education Center."
