"Members of the 1924 backfield which helped swamp Michigan, 39-14, 25 years ago gather around Coach Robert Zuppke to pay tribute at a testimonial dinner to the famous Illinois coach at the Urbana-Lincoln hotel Thursday night. Left to right at Harry Hall, Wally McIlwain, Earl Britton, and Red Grange. Representatives from every one of the 29 Illinois teams Zuppke coached were present to pay their respects."
