Historical Note: Nancy Sue Stagg (1937- ) was born in Oklahoma. She studied organ performance at the University of Oklahoma and earned a bachelors degree from the Yale Divinity School in 1962. She earned a masters degree in musicology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. She finished coursework for a PhD in musicology, but did not graduate. Stagg was a longtime organist at McKinley Presbyterian Church. She also served as the music director of WILL from the early 1970s to 2000.
