Papers of Bernard Karsh, Professor of Sociology (1954-89), including correspondence and other materials concerning a proposed joint project on Japanese labor practices, to be conducted by the University of Illinois Institute of Labor and Industrial Relations and the Institute of Management and Labor Studies of the Keio University (Tokyo) (1961-64); correspondence, programs, biographical sketches, notes and evaluation reports pertaining to visits to the United States by Japanese trade union officials (1961-63); materials concerning Karsh's Fulbright fellowship in Japan (1959-61); conference and research proposals (ca. 1965); and correspondence (1971-72) on the book Workers and Employers in Japan (Princeton University Press, 1974), which Karsh co-edited.
