Description: Patent file including licensing agreements between the Foundation and corporate licensees and folders for patents which have been released to the inventors or where the invention was not registered for a patent. The licensing agreement folders include contracts, agreements and correspondence with Du Pont, RCA, Zenith and other corporations or licensees. The patent file includes foreign and domestic patent applications, U.S. Dept. of Commerce evaluations, registered patents and diagrams, assignments of patents, notes, photographs, documents relating to paten infringement suits and correspondence with Merriam, Smith and Marshall, University Patent Committee (1936-64) and University Patents, Inc. (1964-65) and attorneys for other parties. Section 17(C)(2) in the General Rules Concerning University Organization and Procedure provides that the Board of Trustees may direct that discoveries or inventions be transferred to the University of Illinois Foundation for commercial development.
