Date:
April 1976
Description:
Text from back of photo:
"Zeta Beta Tau, the other news-maker, earned $74,094 with its annual dance marathon - $6,000 more than last year's record. DI photographer Melissa Merlie caught the exuberant reactions of ZBT's Cary Glenner, Howard Freedberg, and Harry Burstein (from left) when the impressive total was announced at the end of the 52-hour event. The winning couple was Debbie Magad of Glencoe and Stu Pearl of Chicago who collected $3,800 in donations. All proceeds go to the National Association of Retarded Citizens. A number of the competing couples progressed from marathons held elsewhere. Of the 142 couples entered, 101 went the full course of the event, held April 2-4 in Huff Gym."
