Roy Van Arsdall (1927-2017) was a professor of farm management in the Consumer Sciences & Agricultural Economics Department at the University of Illinois. He was known for his work for the USDA Economic Research Service and for leading the first delegation of agricultural scientists to China, following the end of the Chinese Cultural Revolution.
