Geology Library Subject File contains reports, memos, newsletters, minutes, correspondence, maps and budgets concerning equipment; inventory; library policies; facilities; acquisitions; building plans; job descriptions; library guides; meetings; staff matters; reference; OPAC; statistics; problems; finances; gifts; space usage; digitization and news.
The Geology Department has offered courses under the Department of Natural History (1868);1 College of Natural History (1870);2 College of Natural Science (1871-90);3 College of Science, School of Natural History (1891-1912)4 and College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (1913- ).5 In November 1919, the Geology Department was organized on a committee basis.6 During this period, the Geology and Geography Department was organized, but the Geography Department became separate in 1947.7 The Department offers both undergraduate and graduate courses.
