Audrey Kupferberg (1949- ) collection of Samson Raphaelson documents contains correspondence with Samson and Dorshka Wegman Raphaelson (1904-2005) relating to Kupferberg's programming at the American Film Institute to select and organize a series of Israeli feature films and short subjects for an exhibition at the American Film Institute (1972-1973); the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign's acquisition of Samson Raphaelson's papers and the University's plans to sponsor Raphaelson commemoratives (1973); Kupferberg's article on The Jazz Singer for the Canadian film journal Take One (1974); publication of Three Screen Comedies (1982-1983); Samson Raphaelson's passing and memorial service (1983); stage revival of Accent on Youth (1983-1984); and Dorshka's efforts to reintroduce Samson's works to the public (1989). Other correspondents include Robert Carringer, professor of Cinema Studies at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and Rob Edelman, Kupferberg's husband and frequent collaborator. This series also includes autographed copies of Accent on Youth and White Man, Jason, and Skylark; first editions of The Jazz Singer, Young Love, Three Screen Comedies, and The Human Nature of Playwriting; and Raphelason's annotated Crossword Puzzle Dictionary (1967).
