Hammerhead Records was founded in Champaign, IL in 1993 by Paxton, IL native Todd Thorstenson (MBA '93, Duke University). Between 1993 and 2000, Hammerhead Records promoted and funded recordings for musical artists in and around Champaign and Urbana, Illinois, representing a variety of music genres including rock, funk, metal, and pop.
