Scope and Contents: Letter of Nathaniel Morgan, 1827, to Joseph Hume, M.P., in which Morgan discusses Henry Burgess's 1826 book on banking (A letter to the Right Hon. George Canning, to explain in what manner the industry of the people, and the productions of the country, are connected with, and influenced by, internal bills of exchange, country bank notes, and country bankers, Bank of England notes, and branch banks) and explains his gift of a copy of the book to Hume. The gift book is now University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Rare Book & Manuscript Library, Hollander 2898.
