Title supplied by cataloger. Script: Written in a secretary hand.

Origin: Probably written in Great Britain, certainly not later than 1660; watermarks are not in Briquet and appear to be later than 16th cent.
Inscribed in ink on fol. 211v: "19 Febr 1660 Md. that I Thomas Lloyd gent. have borrowed of Evan Edwards Esqr one booke of precedents ... w[hi]ch I promise to returne to him w[ith]in one yeare. Tho Lloyd. My cousin hand carried the booke w[ith] him to Dublin." Both Edwards and Lloyd lived in Wales, Edwards at Rhual and Lloyd at Welshpool, and both were active in law and politics. The Edwards and Lloyd families were connected by marriage, lawsuit, and religious dissent; Lloyd emigrated to Pennsylvania in 1683 and became a Quaker politician. Cf.
