Historical Note: George Bentley (1828-1895) was the eldest son of English publisher, Richard Bentley (1794-1871). He began a partnership with his father at Richard Bentley (firm) in 1845; the firm was renamed Richard Bentley and Son upon Richard Bentley's death in 1871.
