Scope and Contents: The Peter Koch Ephemera Collection (1975-2011) contains 6 boxes (1 oversize) of original and reproduced prints and designs compiled for the Rare Book and Manuscript Library at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign by Peter Koch.
The collection comprises nearly four decades of visual exemplars from the career of fine press printer and book designer Peter Koch. Works can be traced chronologically from Black Stone Press in Missoula, Montana through several locations in the San Francisco Bay Area. Oversize items in Series 2 are chronological by folder, with some missing years (1981, 1985, 2009).
Varying in size, materials include publications, business cards, announcements, book designs, brochures, invitations, programs, coasters, advertisements, and stationary, as well as other examples of typography and fine art printmaking. The collection also includes printed materials made for the Codex Foundation.
