Historical Note: Richard Pearce-Moses is an certified archivist and educator. He received his Bachelor of Jounalism and Masters in American Studies from the University of Texas at Austin and his MSLIS from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Over his decades long career, he has worked at the Heard Museum, Arizona State University, Texas State University, the Universtiy of Texas in Austin and was the first Director of the Masters of Archival Study program at Clayton State University. He has won numerous awards including the American Library Association's Kilgour Award for Research in Library and Information Technology and was recognized for his pioneering work in Digital Archives by the Library of Congress in 2010. He also served as the president of the Society of American Archivists from 2005-2006.
