Sutton, professor of English at Ball State University, over the course of his research on Sherwood Anderson, Erskine Caldwell, Robert Frost, and Carl Sandburg, as well as smaller collections concerning Margaret Mitchell and Gertrude Stein. Contains Sutton's correspondence with the family members and acquaintance of these writers, photocopies of correspondence and other documentation, held privately or in other depositories, photographs, and much other biographical and bibliographical data.
