Origin: Presumably composed in several locations, mostly in Romania, based city names on folded wax sheet following fol. 1 and subsequent leaves. -- Date from entries which begin 3 August 1917 and end 3 November 1918.
Provenance: Bookseller ticket on front pastedown: " Papierhandlung ... Alois Herber".

Letter (two leaves) dated 14 October 1933 from A.W. Linssenden to Lt. Col. Dawson laid-in after fol. 1; contains historical information concerning the 13th and their engagements in Romania; removed to item folder.
Manuscript enumeration (1-205) present in upper fore-edge corners.
Fols. 105-107 and 114-150 blank.
