Scope and Contents: This commonplace book contains excerpts of works notable to the fields of philosophy and world history, in both Latin and English. The bulk of the text comes from Adrianus Heereboord's Philosophia Naturalis (1663), which is accompanied by notes in Latin on ethics and metaphysics. The volume also includes an essay on mapmaking, as well as a chronology of world history based largely on the Bible, both in English.
Inscriptions indicate that the book may have belonged to William Palmer.
