Léon Pierre-Quint (born Léopold Léon Steindecker) was a French author and publisher. Formerly a novelist, Pierre-Quint began his publishing career in 1923 when he was appointed co-director of Éditions du Sagittaire, a publishing house that became popular among Parisan Surrealists with the publication of André Breton's Manifeste du surréalisme in 1924. Pierre-Quint published Marcel Proust: se vie, son oeuvre (1925), making him an early authority on the literary figure. Pierre-Quint became the sole director of Éditions du Sagittaire in the early 1930s and maintained this title until 1954, when he departed due to the house's financial difficulties.
