The Alhambra: A Series of Tales and Sketches of the Moors and Spaniards (500 pages) is a manuscript draft of Washington Irving's book, written between 1829 and 1832. The manuscript includes passages in both Irving's and an unidentified copyist's hands, as well as the author's annotations and alterations. The text is similar, but not identical, to the text of the first published U.S. edition (Philadelphia: Carey & Lea, 1832).
