Scope and Contents: A note found among the papers of Isabella Parsons, daughter of the recipient, after her death in 1946. Consists of the autograph signature of Dickens, his address "1 Devonshire Terrace York Gate Regent's Park.", the date "Third April 1844", and the following note: "For C.T.P. with Mr Dickens' compliments. But Mr Dickens begs to add that he is not in the habit of replying to any correspondent who addresses him anonymously; having a very great objection to that mode of communication."
