Contains a travel journal of a trip through Spain made by the Comte d'Artois (later Charles X of France) and an account of the Great Siege of Gibraltar. Some textual corrections in the composer's hand.

Origin: Location based on content. -- Date from title and journal entries.

Provenance: Armorial bookplate on front pastedown with motto: "Monstrant regibus astra viam" and banner: "Bibliothèque du Mr. des Roys". -- Acquired from Lib. Espagnole, 24 July 1959.
