Signed letter of John Fastolf, upon whom Shakespeare based his character, Sir John Falstaff. The document is dated 3 January 1451, and is addressed to Fastolf's cousin, John a Berney, and to Sir Thomas Howes, Walter Shipdham, and Geffrey Spirlynge. This letter deals with, among other things, Fastolf's suit against the Duke of Norfolk and his relation to Lord Scales.
