Scope and Contents: This collection contains letters, photos, newspaper clippings, and lithographs representing 47 mid- to late-19^th century opera performers. The bulk of the collection is made up of letters signed by the performers. The newspaper clippings are largely reviews, and many of the photographs are from the Celebrites Contemporaines series of collector's cards issued by Parisian supermarket chain Felix Potin around the turn of the century.
