Caption on back reads, "Recently, ROTC Cadet Michael R. Fredricks, University of Illinois, was given the opportunity to fire the Army's newest machine gun, the 7.62mm M-60, after firing the highest score of the 200 other cadets in his training company.

Cadet Fredricks, is the son of Mr. and Mrs. E.J. Fredricks, residing [in] Arlington Hts., Illinois".
