African American Churches in Champaign County, Ill. Exhibit Poster, 1996 | Illinois History and Lincoln Collections

This poster, designed in conjunction with the Krannert Art Museum exhibit Through the Years: African American History Comes Home, illustrates the history of African American churches in Champaign County, Ill., during the twentieth century. The poster features descriptive content and illustrations related to six local churches: African M.E. Church, Morning Star Baptist Church, Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church, Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church, Salem Baptist Church, and Second Baptist Church.

The Library acquired the poster from the University's African American Research Center in 2012.
