The correspondence in this collection is between various members of the Hastings and Willson families of Ohio. Letters from the Civil War period comment on the draft and Morgan's Raid, while later letters discuss weather, crops, and family matters.

Leland Baird, a descendant of the Hastings and Willson families, loaned the collection to the Library for photocopying in 1973.
