This collection contains Monticello College papers belonging to Louise Elizabeth Gulick. Materials include student publications, programs, and other papers.
Louise Elizabeth Gulick received her B.A. from the University of Illinois in 1927, and her M.A. in Zoology the following year. In 1936, she joined the biology faculty at Monticello College, Godfrey, IL, where she remained until 1959. In later years, she returned to Urbana, Illinois.
The Gulick Collection contains various issues of the Monticello College Bulletin, an alumni publication, and the Monticello Times, the student newspaper. Also in the collection are programs, promotional literature, college calendars, administrative papers, a student handbook, a student literary publication and other Monticello College ephemera.
The Champaign County Historical Archives donated this collection to the Illinois Historical Survey, predecessor of the Illinois History and Lincoln Collections, in March 1989.
