This collection contains materials reflecting the operations and activities of the Charleston, Ill., League of Women Voters (LWV). Materials include reports on the annual meeting as well as minutes and agendas for the Board of Directors meetings from the early 1960s through the mid-1970s; copies of the organization's monthly newsletter, League Link, from 1962-1980; copies of various pamphlets and other publications produced by the LWV in the 1960s and 1970s; and various other materials.
Ruth Dow, President of the Charleston League of Women Voters, donated this collection to the Illinois Historical Survey in 1973. Additions to the collection were donated between 1974 and 1983.
