Scope and Contents: Elijah P. Grant was a prominent advocate of Fourierist socialism who founded a phalanx in Ohio in the 1840s. This microfilm includes letterbooks (1843-45), a diary from 1845, and other correspondence and papers from the Ohio phalanx, the originals of which are held by the University of Chicago Library.
