The Born Family collection contains personal records of John, Henry, and Ella Born, including bank books, insurance policies, leases, ledgers, and probate documents. This collection consists of materials separated from the Milmine, Dillow, and Hawver (Illinois) School Records Collection (MS 863) in June 1990. Ella Born (1885-1920) taught in the Milmine School, but the bulk of the collection concerns her family members, John and Henry Born.
Ann Skagenberg of Monticello, Ill., donated the collection to the Library in 1990.
