This collection consists of microfilm and small photographic print copies of correspondence to and from Comte Francois Joseph de Viry, the Sardinian minister to London from 1755 to 1763, during the time of the Seven Years War.
The materials were donated to the Library by University of Illinois History Professor Mary Lucille Shay, who collected them in the course of her research on Comte de Viry.
The contents of this collection were described in detail in the Manuscripts Guide to Collections at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (1976). The relevant pages are attached here in PDF format for download.
