This collection contains a photocopy of a document from the Senate Journal created by the tenth Illinois General Assembly on February 27, 1837. This page of the Senate Journal contains the minutes of a session which discussed the formation of Coffee County (what is today predominately Stark County), an act to locate a state road, an act to incorporate a railroad company and a manufacturing company, and other subjects.
In the 1970s, the original document was located in the Illinois State Archives.
