Scope and Contents:
Sarah Moore Grimke was a student at the Eagleswood School in Perth Amboy, N.J., located at a former Fourierist community. This microfilm contains letters written by Grimke in which she discusses education, slavery, the proposed admission of Kansas into the Union, and the philosophy and purpose of the Eagleswood School.
