This collection consists of transcripts of correspondence from the Illinois Secretary of State Office.
The collection contains correspondence from 1809-1810 and 1819-1820 sent between Nathaniel Pope, William Morrison, Isaac White, Shadrach Bond, William Crawford, Jonathan Taylor, and J.W. McCall concerning territorial offices, militia commissions, the escape of wanted Native Americans, leases for Salt Springs, and other matters.
