Featured are marchers in the annual Hobo Parade in downtown Champaign. The Hobo Parade was an annual event where people dressed up on costumes and attire resembling that of hobos. However, on campus, this expanded to different outfits and disguises meant to satirize elements of the Champaign Urbana community.

Two people stand off to the side of the parade march. While dressed like traditional hobos, they are standing on stilts that set them apart from the others in the shot. This image is a shot from the Bernard Strauch collection of Hobo Parade Imagery.
