Title:
Military Brigade at Illinois Field (1)
Date:
Spring 1918
Description:

Featured is the Military Day review field. The featured field is the former Illinois Field, home of the football team prior to Memorial Stadiums completion in 1923. It was then used for the display of the reserve officer training corps (ROTC) program. Military Day was treated as a university holiday where all (then) branches of service march and display their training. The reinforced brigade was comprised of Infantry, Cavalry, Field Artillery, Coast Artillery, Engineers, and the Signal Corps.
