Collection of Raymond W. (1916-2002), union organizer, Public Relations Director of the United Steel Workers of America, editor of Steelabor and the Steelworkers Organization of Active Retirees (SOAR) newsletter, Old Timer and Raymond G. (1945-2007) Pasnick, son of Raymond W., District 7 Education Director and staff member of United Steel Workers of America, includes correspondence, memoranda, directories, newspaper clippings, buttons, badges, hats, and promotional items, including key chains, pins, nail clippers and matchbook covers related to the United Steel Worker of America, USWA elections (1965-85), USWA activities, I.W. Abel - President of the USWA, Raymond W. Pasnick's demotion from a national to a regional position in the Union (1972-78), editing Steelabor (1945, 1975-78), travel to the Soviet Union (1971-73), local, state and national politics (1972-96) and SOAR (1992). Photographs concern USWA conventions (1937-95), USWA elections (1954-98), I.W. Abel (ca. 1965-72), Joe Germano - Director of District 31 of USWA (ca. 1964-72), Soviet Union trip (1973), USW workshops and short courses (1984-2003), SOAR and National Council of Senior Citizens, NCSC (1990-97) and strikes and rallies (1970-2000). Audio-visual recordings include a promotional VHS tape of LTV Corp. (1997), a U-matic tape of Wheeling, Pitt. Local Union 6787 and 7 1/2 inch open reel tapes of speeches, radio interviews, radio shows, and oration of Leo Keefer (1951 - ca. 1960).
