An athletic section lists the association officers and staff, giving season scores and records. A new building section, with photographs, is included since the "New Building Edition" of 1941. The 1909 Directories of 1924-30, edited by George E. Owen, contain historical articles by Carl Stephens. The "Inaugural Number," with greetings of prominent state officials, was followed by the "Century of Progress Edition (1933), the "Athletic Edition" (1935), the "New Building Edition" (1941), the "War Issue" (1944), the "Victory Edition" (1946) and the "80th Anniversary Edition" (1948). The 1944 and 1946 editions include Gold Star Illini listings and descriptions of wartime activities of the University. In 1950, a section entitled "The University of Illinois," giving a brief history of the University, emphasizing achievements, replaced the feature articles.
