'36 (1893-1974), including correspondence concerning job applications and membership in the American Society of Civil Engineers (1915-23); student records including Triangle Fraternity membership certificate (1914), Bachelor of Science diploma, Final Honors certificate and academic transcript (1915) and Civil Engineer diploma (1936); American Society of Civil Engineers membership diploma (1933) and certificate of election as Director (1946-48); California Civil Engineer registration certificate (1930); California State Assembly Resolution of Commendation and California Highway Commission Resolution of Acknowledgement and Appreciation (1960); photographs of California highway bridges (ca. 1953), Masonic and Shrine membership documents (1919, 1923, 1965), and a typescript entitled "No Substitute for Experience" including reminiscence of childhood, grade school, high school and college (1970). The collection contains a commemorative scrapbook honoring Panhorst for his service as an engineer with the Bridge Department of the California Division of Highways (1927-1960) and including photographs and renderings of California bridges, signatures of those attending the retirement dinner and testimonial letters received from friends and associates.
