Papers produced and collected by David Bechtel during his tenure as director of the Career Development and Placement Office (1972-2003), including his correspondence, resume, research notes, collected articles and publications, drafts, and reports authored by Bechtel, regarding employer recruiting, occupational classifications, graduate employment rates, and career services functions. Contains records of the former Coordinating Placement Council and Corodinating Placement Office (1954-1972) and its annual and special reports, career guides, career conference planning information, minutes and administrative correspondence, Council membership records, graduation lists, alumni employment records, notes from the faculty advisory committee, newspaper clippings, brochures, and flyers. Also contains career services publications collected from other institutions.
