Papers of Charles Albert Kiler '92 (1869-1962), including printed university announcements and programs (1868-79, 1881, 1886-93, 1902); correspondence of John K. Bangs (1900, 1908, 1910); typescript column by Arthur Brisbane (1931); letters of Oscar O. McIntyre, George Ade, Lois (Montross) Stafford '19, Allan Nevins '12, Carl and Mark Van Doren '07 and '14, Fontaine Fox, Charles M. Dennis '81, Carl Sandburg, Rachel Crothers, Thornton Wilder and others relating to Kiler's collection of journalism manuscripts (1937-45); material on Wassaja (Carlos Montezuma) '84 (1940, 1942) and manuscripts of "On the Banks of the Boneyard" by Kiler and "Early Settlers Records of Champaign County" by Mabel R. Carlock (1942).

The series includes a collection of manuscripts by Faith Baldwin, William E. Baringer, Rachel Crothers, Lloyd C. Douglas, Allan Nevins, Lois (Montross) Stafford, Carl Van Doren and Mark Van Doren.

The series contains Kiler's papers as Champaign County chairman of the Omer N. Custer for governor campaign (February - April, 1932).

The series includes Kiler's personal correspondence (1923-27) concerning Sigma Chi, Retail Furniture Associations, University of Illinois Alumni Association, football tickets, American Red Cross and Kiler family activities. Principal correspondents include William Kiler, George Ade, Carl Stephens, Charles Deneen, William B. McKinley and Edward E. Barrett. The series contains the Federal income tax records (1922-37) and real estate tax receipts (1920-37) of J. Q. Kiler, nephew of C. A. Kiler.
