Scope and Contents of the Materials
Sports Videotapes collected and produced by Lawrence H. Miller '67, including motion pictures, videotaped interviews, sound tapes, stills and production footage for video movies on football, basketball, hockey and other sports. Entries show reel number, size and type of tape, sport, subject, length and date. Usually for Philo Films, Miller produced videotapes from documentation on athletic programs at the University of Illinois (1937-91) including Rose Bowl games; University of California at Los Angeles (1975-86) and UCLA bowl games; National Collegiate Athletic Association basketball tournaments (1939-88); Indiana High School Athletic Association basketball tournaments (1936-86); St. Louis Blues hockey team (1968-86) and the St. Louis Cardinals (1935-87), Detroit Tigers (1945-86) and New York Yankees (1936-87) baseball teams.
