Scope and Contents of the Materials
Alpha Tau Omega Membership Card File, ATO's master membership register in print format comprises individual cards of biographical data on members. Each "M Card" typically includes member's name, home address, birthdate, chapter, national ("WGKE") and chapter membership numbers, dates of pledging, initiation, graduation, and death, and the names, occupations, and fraternity affiliation of parents, and cards were made retrospectively for records formerly maintained in register books (see record series 41/92/17). Some cards are missing or were misfiled when data were transcribed into a computerized membership system in the 1980s.
