Papers of Everett D. Biographical Note

University of Illinois Associate Director of Bands and Director of the Marching Illini between 1948 and 1976. In addition to his marching band responsibilities he conducted the University's First and Second Regimental Bands and the Basket ball band. He lead the Marching Illini during their 1952 and 1965 appearances during the Rose Bowl parade as well as their participation in the second presidential inaugural parade in Washington, D.C. for Dwight Eisenhower in 1957. During his tenure he also initiated the University's Alumni Band. After retiring in 1976 he moved to Colorado Spring, Colorado and died January 14, 1990.
