Biographical Note

The Department of Health and Safety Education was established in 1957, when the School of

Physical Education became the College of Physical Education with four departments. The

Department offers courses in public health education and school health education, leading to the B.S.

or M.S. degree as well as teacher certification in health education and driver education.1
