National Conference on Research in English (NCRE) Administrative File contains reports, minutes, research proposals, directories, conference files and agenda, and correspondence regarding research and studies, conferences, publications, questionnaires, and governance, arranged chronologically for the years 1936-82 (no files for 1937, 1955, 1979-80); also includes files on memberships and officers (c. 1949-65) and draft unsigned agreement between NCRE and NCTE (1954); NCRE was an affiliate of NCTE and several NCTE members and leaders were also involved in NCRE.
